Our priority is the mental health well-being of community members. Recent natural disasters have had a negative effect on the emotional well-being of many, and support is urgently needed.
In Puerto Rico, deaths by suicide are at an alarming rate among older adults. We continue to provide mental health supports that include therapy, counseling, mindfulness sessions, support groups and more.
In addition, we provide trainings, about suicide prevention, to employees of cities/towns, hospitals, and companies, in the hopes of preventing other deaths. We continue to contribute to what we value the most: the mental health and wellbeing of all.
Mental Health Services for All
At Waves Ahead, we recognize the unique needs and challenges faced by both our seniors and youth. That’s why develop an individual service plan designed to the needs of each individual and their needs.
What We Offer?
Safe Environment
Mental Health Sessions: individual, couples, family, and groups.
We offer specialized therapy to address issues such as anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges that affect the individual.
Job Search Support:
We provide tools and guidance to help the individual build a stable future by seeking employment opportunities.
Addressing Specific Needs:
We recognize that each individual faces unique challenges, such as the risk of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. Our team is committed to providing the support necessary to address these realities in a comprehensive manner.
