Meet Waves Ahead Puerto Rico: Support, Wellness, and Community

Waves Ahead Puerto Rico is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting marginalized, vulnerable, and underserved populations in Puerto Rico through accessible services, community support, and safe spaces for well-being.

Through our community centers, we provide free services designed to strengthen the emotional, family, and community well-being of the people we serve. Our services place particular emphasis on LGBT+ adults over the age of 50, while remaining open and accessible to anyone in need of support, guidance, or community connection.

Every week, Waves Ahead Puerto Rico offers mental health services, psychosocial support, case management by clinical social workers, educational workshops, support groups, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, completely free of charge.

We have service centers in different regions of Puerto Rico, including the north, south, west, and east of the island. Through these spaces, we continue working to promote more inclusive, healthy, and resilient communities.
